If you use a retinol or AHA product at night, apply your Vitamin C serum in the morning or test out layering it with your retinol or AHA products slowly to avoid irritation.

Active Ingredients

3-Glyceryl Ascorbate - A stable form of Vitamin C that is also gentle on the skin. Studies have also shown that this ingredient may have antibacterial properties and has been proven to help reduce breakouts.

Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate - A stable form of Vitamin C that is prized for its ability to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, fend off free radicals, and increase hydration.

Niacinamide - This water-soluble form of Vitamin B3 assists with barrier repair. It is a real asset to anyone with acne prone skin, helping to regulate sebum production and reduce the appearance of large pores.

Licorice Root Extract - A superior antioxidant and anti-inflammatory which also assists in inhibiting tyrosinase. Its superb brightening properties are said to be on par with controversial ingredient hydroquinone, but this miraculous botanical is far, far safer and gentler.

Hyaluronic Acid - A natural sugar molecule found in skin, this famed humectant ingredient helps to bind water to collagen making skin moisturized, plumper, and firmer.

Can I layer this with other products?

If you're using a retinol product, be sure to spot test this serum after you've applied retinol to ensure irritation doesn't occur.

Bakuchiol, found in Acta's Resurfacing Serum and Eye Cream, is a retinol alternative, but is not related to retinol, so you can layer with these products.

Will this work for sensitive skin?

This formula is ideal for all skin types, and even highly sensitive skin should be able to tolerate it.

Do I use this day, night, or both?

We recommend using Vitamin C at night, as long as you're not also layering it with a retinol product.

Why use it at night? Vitamin C can cause sensitivity in the sun and can also degrade faster when it comes in contact with UV rays. By including it in your nighttime routine, you'll be sure to avoid any potential sun exposure issues.

Amazing!
